- THE COMPANY;

- Our client is a market leader in the manufacturer of non combustible, stone wool insulation, used in thermal, acoustic and fire applications.

- They are long established, with a multi million pounds turnover and they trade globally.

- THE ROLE;

- This is an important position within the business, where the Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager will be taught all there is to know about non combustible, stone wool insulation, it's features, advantages and benefits and drive business through your distribution partners.

- The Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager will be selling thermal, acoustic and roofing insulation, which is easy to fit, bringing benefits to builders and their customers.

- You will be selling stone wool insulation, ideal for residential thermal applications, such as home extensions, loft conversions, sound applications, such as home offices, bedrooms and bathrooms, plus TV and games rooms.

- You will be selling to an every increasing portfolio of national and independent builders merchants, specialist distributors, buying groups at senior level and then liaising with your ASMs and branch employees.

- On occasion you will be running training mornings with the merchant employees, as well as contractors and installers, demonstrating the benefits of the product, which includes being non combustible, fires resistant, water repellent, sound absorbent, easy to cut and fit and ideal for the residential property.

- The Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager will be covering the Midlands, up to Scotland, including Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Birmingham. Stoke, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, with the ideal location being on the M62 corridor.

- You will develop relationships with retail buying groups and nationals to ensure the growth of their business, with your insulation products. You will be supporting branches with training, demos for customers, trade days, breakfast mornings, merchandising with POS etc.

- You will also look at buying trends and offer full support with sales, margin, technical assistance etc.

- THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;

- You may be Degree educated in any discipline, because this shows them that you can apply yourself, stick to a subject and learn it and then had 18 months+ in the construction industry, although a degree isn't vital.

- You will have a confident, engaging, likeable personality as this role is all about building relationships with your customers.

- You will understand how merchants, distributors and buying groups operate, perhaps having sold for a merchant and be looking to develop your career with a leading manufacturer.

- You'll be IT literate with experience of PowerPoint, Word, Excel and CRM systems.

- You must be a chameleon, able to communicate with the varied and diverse characters that you find in the building industry.

- You will be hard working, willing to put in the hard yards to develop your career.

- You will be ambitious, able to think on your feet, resilient and able to take the knocks that come with sales.

- THE REMUNERATION;

- Basic salary of GBP30,000- GBP40,000 dependent on experience.

- A bonus scheme, paid quarterly, of up to 30% of your basic salary.
