Client Summary:
Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing. They are looking for individuals who want a fantastic opportunity to gain some hands on industry experience at an exciting time for the business.
Position Summary:
The role is based around testing train functions i.e. lighting, HVAC, Radio, Doors to ensure a fully functioning unit. The vehicles are partly software based which will involve downloading software and system updates. You will be working with high voltages so Health and Safety procedures must be adhered to at all times as well as following all test procedures/written working instructions.
We are willing to consider individuals who have recently completed their qualifications and are looking for an industry to apply those new skills. People such as college leavers and graduates may find these roles ideal to turn their theory knowledge into practical on the job skills. We will also consider people who have some experience but are looking to further those and develop.
Essential Experience:
•Electrical knowledge
•Industrial employment experience
•Very safety conscious
•Practical trade experience
•Computer literacy
•Basic wiring knowledge
Desirable Experience:
•Experience reading schematics / written working instructions
•Fault Finding
•Testing
•Detailed wiring knowledge
•Rail knowledge
•17th Edition / Level 3 Electrical Installation / 2391 City and Guilds Testing
•Inspection
•CCTV
Additional Information:
•Loyalty Pay Scheme - Following your 1st years' service you shall receive a 15% pay rise and following a 2nd years' worth of service shall be an additional 15% pay rise.
