Our client is a global leader in the design, engineering and manufacture of network access products for the infrastructure, utility and construction markets. Due to the continued growth of their business they are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Graduate.
With this position you will get chance to work in different areas of the business before deciding on what area to specialise in. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be based at their Stoke sites.
Duties and responsibilities
• The role will commence with mentorship and training in business systems, safety, project management and operational and technical skills.
• A series of 4-6 month placements over a three year period which are designed to provide a broader experience across different functional areas and disciplines across the organisation.
• An opportunity to gain an overall understanding of how the business works before deciding on a specific area or discipline to specialise in.
Skills and experience
Graduates with a 2:1, or equivalent, in Business Management, Business Improvement or Engineering disciplines. Ideally have some previous industrial experience which may have been gained during work placement, are encouraged.
Applicants should also possess the following skills and competencies:
• Excellent IT skills and Project Management experience
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making capabilities and exceptional planning and time management skills • Advanced communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• A keen business insight and strong customer focus
• Be achievement oriented and innovative, with a 'hands on' and naturally collaborative approach
• Able to demonstrate courage, resourcefulness and resilience
