Position: Volunteering On-boarding Coordinators
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: GBP19,609 actual per annum

Closing date: 5 pm on Monday 1st October
Assessment date: Tuesday 30 / Wednesday 31 October (A full day to assess skills required for the role)
Interview date: Thursday 8 or Friday 9 November

About the role:

The Volunteering On-boarding Coordinators are responsible for enabling anyone who wants to give their time to the Alzheimer's Society to find an opportunity that suits their interests, skills and experience. As the first point of contact for external enquiries about volunteering, you will deliver first class customer service and support new volunteers through the on-boarding process. Ensuring new volunteers have a positive initial experience of the Alzheimer's Society, and are able to get started in their role quickly and effortlessly, will be your top priorities.

Responsible for maintaining effective systems and processes to support the on-boarding process, the role involves tracking and reporting on on-boarding and recruitment activities. Answering queries, providing guidance and delivering learning about the on-boarding process to volunteer managers will also be a key part of the role.

You will be a self-motivated team player, willing to go the extra mile - with a strong commitment to working closely with both colleagues within the Volunteering Development team and the other departments across the Alzheimer's Society.

Able to juggle a busy and varied workload, you will need excellent organisational skills and the ability to see things through. Your pro-active, can-do approach will enable you to solve problems that arise and find solutions for our customers. Good IT skills are essential to the success of this role as is experience of working with large databases and creating reports.
