To be considered for the Management Accountant opportunity you must have a wealth of experience within accounting substantiated by being ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or part qualified. You must be ambitious to progress to be a Company Accountant.

Role:

Initially the Management Accountant role will involve being part of the specialised team responsible for the setting up of ComTech, in addition to shaping the culture, processes and procedures within the finance function. The candidate will be responsible for the supervision of a small team of finance assistants specially dedicated to the product. Once the project has been completed, the candidate will take on the role of the Company Accountant for the company. The Company Accountant role will involve joining the head office finance team and will be required to carry out a wide range of duties including:

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of monthly management accounts.
• Input into the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Supporting the Senior Accountants in managing the finance team and deputising in their absence.
• Monthly reporting to partners.
• Managing remittance of payments due to partners.
• Reviewing cash balances and processing short term investments.
• Submitting returns to industry regulatory bodies.
• Reviewing revenue reconciliations.
• Processing purchase ledger and refund payments.
• Reviewing sales ledger.
• Reviewing KPIs and other management information.

PERSONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• The candidate will be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or part qualified
• Any experience of ComTech would be a benefit to the candidate but not essential.
• Commercial awareness, with an interest in business and an understanding of how an organisation works and manages resources
• A high level of numeracy
• The ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way
• Professionalism and commitment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• IT proficiency
• Project management skills
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non-finance members of staff
• Confidence to know where your expertise ends and another team members begins

• Organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
