- Junior Paediatric Occupational Therapist – 32.5 hours per week, Fixed term for 1 year
- Mid level Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Full time, Fixed term for 30 months
Delivering occupational therapy to individual/groups of children and young people with special educational needs and provide advice and support to their families and schools, you will undertake occupational therapy assessment, using standardised and non-standardised assessment whilst demonstrating sound clinical reasoning for assessment recommendations.
Writing succinct occupational therapy reports, including assessment summary reports, diagnostic treatment summaries and annual review reports as well as reports contributing to a child’s education, health and care needs assessment, you will objectively monitor progress/effectiveness of occupational therapy interventions/programmes; using relevant outcome measures to compare outcomes with baseline and responding proactively to feedback on occupational therapy services provided.
Candidates for these positions should demonstrate previous paediatric work experience, experience of working in educational settings and of working with children with special educational needs. With a diploma / degree in occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council, you must be committed to carrying out regular continuing professional development (CPD) and to meeting HCPC standards for (CPD) and have the ability to cope with emotional and unpredictable clients and carers.
