Junior ICT Support Officer

Founded in 1946, NFER is a highly respected and successful charity that carries out research within the education system, from early years to further education and employment. Our robust and innovative research, assessment, and other services are widely known and used by government agencies and department, third sector organisations, private and public companies and education sector associations. 

Now, we’re looking for a Junior ICT Support Officer to join us and provide first line helpdesk support to our staff, both face-to-face and remotely. 

As a Junior ICT Support Officer, you will: 

- Provide technical support and advice for approved hardware and software 
- Install, test and maintain hardware 
- Assist staff with standard operating systems and software packages 
- Evaluate hardware and software, ensuring they meet requirements and specifications 

Interested? 

To join us as a Junior ICT Support Officer, you’ll need: 

- Experience of working in an IT support or customer service role 
- Excellent IT skills and experience of MS Office 
- Great communication skills 
- Strong problem-solving abilities

Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of desktops, laptops, printers and Apple Macs, but this isn’t essential. 

We’re eager to hear from you if you’ve worked as an IT Support Technician, Customer Service Executive, Customer Service Advisor, Customer Support Advisor, Technical Support Advisor, Service Desk Technician or IT Helpdesk Technician.
