Are you looking for a role in Financial Services where you can really make a difference? My client is a leader in its field and is looking for a Senior Finance Control Assistant to join its team based in SW London.

You will be a key member of the Finance Operations Premium and Retail team, providing strong service to both internal and external customers of both businesses, driving process improvement within the Finance Department, and taking a lead role in the Bank and Balance Sheet reconciliation process, always maintaining a strong financial control environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Take a lead role in completion of daily Finance Operations tasks, keeping all key stakeholders informed

• Conduct regular detailed analysis of the Balance Sheet reconciliations, identify issues, and present findings to senior management

• Ensure that daily bank reconciliations are produced accurately and that all reconciling items are investigated and cleared ensuring no items are outstanding

• Drive improvement and automation of the bank and Balance Sheet reconciliation processes

• Take a lead role in management of the incentives process, identifying ways to make the process more effective and efficient

• Review Financial Control and Operations procedures regularly and update as appropriate, adding new procedures where necessary

• Ensure that Finance interests are represented on daily tasks and/or projects and that their impacts on finance processes are understood

• Help to identify inefficient processes across the business and Finance department. Where possible work with the affected area to help implement the changes required. Where an IT solution is required, help to raise a

change request or investment case for Investment Committee approval

The Candidate:

• Studying ACCA / CIMA

• 2.1 in a Business, Finance or Accounting based degree or equivalent

• Able to proactively identify risks and issues and able to drive resolution forward

• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and change optimising performance

• Proven excellent attention to detail

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Intermediate MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

• Understanding of finance double entry
