Staffline are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative at their client's busy site in Peterborough.

The main duties of the role will be the use of Manual Handling Equipment within a large chilled warehouse to pick a variety of fresh produce - ranging from fresh vegetables, dairy products, desserts etc. Operating Pallet Pump Truck's and stacking items in roll cages, guided by digital wrist computer AMC's and trigger scanners.

Colleagues are targeted and measured on pick rate and a comprehensive induction followed by ongoing training and coaching is provided to ensure target delivery is reached and sustained.

This role includes some heavy lifting and repetitive actions in the picking and stacking of the cages and dollies, a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and awareness of other colleagues whilst using the trucks is required.

Other duties may include loading and unloading and site hygiene.

The contractors will have a full induction to Tesco and the site plus 3 days training on the AMC's and Pallet Trucks which incorporates stacking and loading best practice instructions.

There is performance related bonus pay with the minimum target of 100% pick rate expected
to be achieved in first 4 weeks.

Pay rate: GBP7.83 - GBP12.65 p.hr.
