We are recruiting exclusively for an experienced Production Manager to work for a manufacturing company located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
THE DUTIES:
* You will report directly to the company Managing Director and will be responsible for process improvements and projects associated with the individual manufacturing cells.
* Play an integral part in reducing waste and increasing productivity by using modern manufacturing and process improvement techniques.
* Develop, identify, recommend and manage engineering solutions / projects to deliver improvements in line with the company's objectives for operational improvements, including actively investigating problems affecting production and being proactive in dealing with them in a systematic and methodical manner.
* Establish and Introduce improvements in the manufacture of parts, techniques and processes to:
* Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for all production activities/processes.
* Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
You must have:
* The ability to respond quickly and to work under pressure encompassed with a pro-active work ethic in the reduction of downtime.
* A solid background in engineering and manufacturing along with the qualifications in these fields.
* Good understanding of company goals and KPI's.
* An ability to communicate effectively at all levels and be a team player.
* Knowledge of Lean principles and practices.
* An ability to embrace change.
* Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety awareness and policies.
* Good all round knowledge of 5s standards.
THE PACKAGE:
You will be paid a basic salary of GBP45,000 per annum, plus outstanding benefits
