Human Resources Manager (6 Month Contract)

Based in Sandwich

GBP18.00 Per Hour

Our client, a rapidly growing public service provider located in Sandwich, is currently looking to recruit a Human Resources Manager to work on a 6-month contract.

You will be working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. This role will be paying an hourly rate of GBP18.00 per hour.

The successful candidate will develop, review, advise on and implement policies and protocols, reflecting best practice within HR and encompassing employment relations, culture, recruitment and retention and staff wellbeing.

Duties & Responsibilities

* To ensure the company is compliant with UK employment legislation.
* To ensure robust reporting process for managing and escalating any performance concerns relating to HR and L&D, e.g. compliance with statutory and mandatory training, managing sickness absence, staff turnover, etc.
* To design, develop and implement HR policies and procedures. Consistently review policies and employment contracts to ensure that they are effective, fair and up to date.
* To provide line managers and other members of the management team with support on implementation and delivery of HR policies and protocols.
* To ensure there is a robust process for management and storage of personnel files across the organisation.
* To support managers with performance management, disciplinary and grievance issues.
* Provide HR advice on a range of complex workforce issues such as TUPE and organisational change.
* Prepare HR reports for senior management and support in developing proposals and documentations as required.
* To establish and implement an appraisal/performance review framework.
* To develop and implement a recruitment and retention framework, which includes guidance for managers to successfully recruit, induct and provide ongoing support for all staff.
* To develop a framework which promotes health and wellbeing for all staff across the organisation.
* To ensure a process is in place for all staff to escalate personal concerns or concerns regarding other members of staff to senior management and ensure opportunity is given to all leavers to partake in exit interviews.
* Provide line management, support and guidance to HR Administrator.

Person Specification

* Professional membership of CIPD.
* Demonstrable experience in a senior human resources officer/advisor or HR Manager role.
* Up to date knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
* Specialist HR knowledge (TUPE, redundancy, disciplinary, grievance, etc).
* Experience in covering a wide range of HR responsibilities that include organisational change, restructuring and changing terms and conditions of employment.
* Proven ability of implementing employment policy, e.g. recruitment, disciplinary, grievance, sickness management.
* Excellent IT skills, proficient with Microsoft office and outlook.
