Service Director

Family Mediation Cymru is a specialist family mediator's service based in Cardiff. We help divorced or separated people make decisions about their children, finances and property to achieve the best outcome, and offer professional mediation across South Wales. We are looking for someone who can lead a small team and can develop the service further. Whilst knowledge of mediation is required, the person does not need to be a qualified mediator. The post is open to someone with appropriate management background, particulalry in seeking opportunities for funding and expanding the service. The post is part time (21 hours pw) but if the candidate is a qualified mediator then opportunities to carry out mediation could be available and the hours of the job would be increased accordingly. Alternatively, the post holder could job share with someone who is a qualified mediator to complement their management experience. The post holder reports to the Trustees and will be based at our central offices in Cardiff, but may be required on occasions to travel to events and meetings.
