We are recruiting for a fantastic financial services organisation based in Chatham that are seeking to recruit an individual with corporate actions experience to join one of their teams.
Alternatively, we are interested in applications from Graduates with relevant business/financial/mathematical etc. degree.
This role is an initial 10-month fixed term contract.
Duties will include:
* Responsible for interpreting the terms of mandatory corporate actions, notifying members and third-party capital providers and updating records for the event within specified market deadlines
* Responsible for interpreting the terms of elective corporate actions, notifying members and third-party capital providers and actioning the instructions from members or Investment Managers
* Assist in the validation, receipt and payment of all UK and Global income payments and multi-currency conversions on assets
* Assist in the reconciliation of all accounts held with custodian and correct any discrepancies within service standards
* Responsible for own workflow to ensure deadlines are met and risk managed
* Escalate problems and issues for resolution to senior members of the team
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with a number of internal and external sources
* Ensure compliance with Trustee obligations, Financial crime and anti-money laundering legislation
* Maintain effective controls on all aspects of Corporate Action and Income processing
Key skills and experience required:
* Previous corporate actions experience is a distinct advantage
* Securities income payments and processing experience (i.e. dividends and bond interest, SWIFT payments relating to securities payments, etc) would be considered
* Graduates with related disciplines in their degree (i.e. Financial Services, Investment, Business studies etc.) would be considered
* Strong customer service skills
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills - internal and external
* High attention to detail, organised, efficient
* Be driven, self-motivated, have a 'hands on' approach
* Team player, flexible in approach to work and willing to support team/company
