At Halton Housing we are currently looking for a Learning and Development Officer to join our team in Widnes! You will join us on a full time, fixed term basis until March 2019 and you will receive a competitive salary of GBP26,097- GBP30,703 per annum.
Halton Housing is a forward thinking and dynamic housing association that owns and manages over 7,000 homes in the Cheshire towns of Runcorn and Widnes. We employ over 300 talented members of staff, including 80 specialist trades people in our Property Services Department.
The Learning and Development Officer sits within the HR department and is an essential part of the team. Professional and responsive, the post is responsible for developing a training offer for the organisation that assists managers in meeting their departmental objectives It is a requirement of the role to equip staff with the knowledge, skill and motivation to carry out their role either through in-house training or third-party providers. This will be followed by comprehensive evaluation for continuous improvement of the service.
Key accountabilities of our Learning and Development Officer:
Responsible for supporting the delivery of the L&D strategy, this post works across the organisation to identify core learning needs within roles. This includes developing a training offer that will incorporate different platforms of learning. You will ensure that Halton offers equal access to development across all posts in the organisation by incorporating different learning styles into the offer.
What we are looking for in our Learning and Development Officer:
- Previous experience in the same/similar role
- Certificate in Training Practise and/or can show relevant experience in devising and delivering training programmes
- Evidence of promoting organisational Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- Full Driving licence and access to a vehicle
- High level of IT competency including training monitoring systems
