We are looking to hire a Part Time Employee or Contractor Accountant to join our team!
You will be responsible for reporting to the director and general manager. Perfect for a small accounting firm trying to grow their practice or a person who only wants 1-2 days employment per week some of the work can be done remotely as long as you have access to a computer.
For the initial on-boarding process we will need you there for 3 days to train.
Restaurant accounting and experience with Xero and Excel is a big help.
Please have the following qualifications:
AAT AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) AAT level 4 qualification in accountancy or CIMA (Certified Institute of Management Accountants) qualified or equivalent book keeping qualification.
Experience with Xero accounting program and fantastic excel skills
Salary commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
- Enter invoices into Xero and into Tevalis (Our POS system)
- Check weekly cash ups
- Enter Monthly payroll
- Submit monthly pension
- Enter Expense invoices
- Enter payments
- Enter cash received
- Reconcile petty cash
- Weekly reconciliations
- Taking and entering inventory as needed
- Call Tevalis (our POS provider) when items are not flowing through to the revenue lines in Xero
- Monthly Adjusting Journal Entries
- Maintain dates and submit companies house filings
- Maintain and submit VAT
- Maintain and submit Tax returns
- Create weekly management reports that can be automated
- Notify Director and GM of variances in invoices so our menu prices can be adjusted accordingly
- Help Director and GM track margins on products
- Continue to automate items that are done by hand so we can move our business all online
- Additional accounting items as needed
- Perform other light office tasks if needed (open mail in relation to finances, make sure the printer is working etc.)
???Qualifications:

We would like you to have the majority of requested skills but we are willing to provide training on some of the items.
The most important thing is organization. We are in need of a candidate that can come in and help with our accounting needs while continuing to automate and update our approach to accounting. Can do attitude, willingness to learn, problem solving and following through are important qualities for this position.
