Marketing Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your marketing career in the busy and dynamic UK marketing team of a global pet product business.

The successful candidate will be a recent graduate in a marketing related field or a school leaver with relevant marketing experience. You must be highly organised and able to work on multiple projects to tight deadlines.

Accurate and engaging copywriting skills and experience/knowledge of digital and social media marketing will be highly desirable, along with excellent analytical skills and a sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

As UK Marketing Assistant you will be involved in a number of key roles including:
- Creating, implementing and reporting on social media marketing campaigns.
- Actively promoting their B2C transactional site, including working with their external digital consultant on e-mail campaigns and planning their marketing calendar.
- PR work, for example, product sampling exercises to social media bloggers.
- Corporate and brand website maintenance.
- Trade customer website audits and updates.
- Writing trade and consumer press releases and liaising with media publishers.
- Developing and creating downloadable new product information packs.
- Updating their trade price list using Excel.
- Supporting their sales team with point of sale materials.
- Assisting with trade/consumer show organisation and execution.
- Assist with day to day marketing administration duties as required.

This is a varied role encompassing both traditional and digital marketing activities. You will be based at their head office in Castleford, West Yorkshire, with occasional travel in the UK and possibly abroad.
