You would be expected to work towards Engineering Technician status with the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, and maintain appropriate records of your development. Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 A-level passes, at Grade C or above, including at least one in Maths, Physics, or similar numerate/science subjects, and have a GCSE at Grade C or above in English.
Alternatively, you will be employed in the engineering industry and have already embarked on your Further Education by studying for a relevant BTEC Ordinary National Certificate or NVQ or similar.
You should be IT proficient (Microsoft Office).
With good communication skills, you will be confident working with people at all levels, able to build good working relationships.
Have an enthusiasm for engineering and design and an eagerness to learn that will truly set you apart.
