HGV Fitter/Mechanic
Radstock
Salary GBP26-32K per annum DOE
CMD Recruitment is currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our client's workshop in the Radstock area.
The role will be working for a small family run business who have their own small wheeled fleet, as well as a range of plant equipment ranging from - Loading shovel, Screed and Crushers.
The role will ideally suit someone who has worked on RCV/Waste/Recycling vehicles before and used ancillary equipment such as Terberg.
The Role
Carry out maintenance inspections
Prepare all vehicles to the highest standard for MOTs
Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard whilst ensuring the vehicles are operating safely and compliant with legislation
Wherever required clean the vehicles in preparation for maintenance & MOT presentation.
From time to time you may be required to attend breakdowns
Experience
Strong organisation skills
The ability to work alone and manage your own time
A full UK driving licence
HGV 2 License (Desirable)
Experience in a similar mechanical role
NVQ level 3 in Engineering for motor vehicle maintenance and/or City & Guilds level 2 in motor vehicle Maintenance is preferred but not essential.
