Role: Mechanical Design Engineer - Heavy Engineering
Location: Coalville
Salary: GBP28'000 - GBP30'000 (salary can be increased, dependent on experience)
Shifts: Days (Flexible start times)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Responsibilities:
* Investigate and resolve problems quickly and effectively, implementing engineering changes where required
* Provide engineered solutions for the development of New Products and the continual improvement of the existing Product Range.
* Produce a full design package for manufacturing including Detailed Drawings, Exploded drawings, Engineering BOMs etc.
Qualifications:
* 3 plus years design experience
* Manufacturing or Engineering sector experience is essential
* Heavy Engineering experience is preferred but not essential
* Experience of 3D Solid Modelling CAD (ideally Pro-Engineer but not essential)
* Mechanical Design Experience
* Creativity and innovative thinking
* Good English communication skill, both written and spoken;
* Candidates should have a "can do" attitude and be able to work as part of a team to meet the deadlines required
Career Progression:
* Next step would be a Senior Engineer role which would involve increased responsibilities & larger projects to work on
* Further steps would be Principle Engineer or Lead Engineer etc
* Opportunities to work in other sites globally is a genuine option
