Support Practitioner (Positive Behaviour)

St Elizabeth's provides a range of person-centred nursing and therapy services to support people with learning disabilities, epilepsy and complex health needs who live at our on-site college and residential home. Working in partnership with GPs, Psychiatrists and Specialist Neurologists from the National Hospital for Epilepsy, St Elizabeth's has a proven track record in providing specialist health support.

Position: Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
Location: Perry Green, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire (Commutable from Bishop's Stortford, Harlow, Saffron Walden, Stevenage, St Albans and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Predominately Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00
Salary: GBP26,737 to GBP29,691 per annum

About the role:

We are looking for a dedicated and motivational Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to be a role model and therapeutic lead for the assessment and support of residents and learners. You will also be resilient, caring and sensitive towards the needs of vulnerable young people with varying degrees of learning disabilities and who can present behavioural challenges.

You will support St Elizabeth's Centre in providing a consistent person-centred approach in the delivery of a high-quality service, as well as leading and motivating staff to work enthusiastically towards identifying and supporting the needs of our young people, through the design, implementation and evaluating of behavioural management programmes.

About you:

- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional qualification
- Effective communication and record keeping skills
- An understanding of epilepsy treatment and management
- A commitment to provide the highest standard of care to service users
