This is a brand-new role situated in a creatively led photographic studio on the Warwickshire/Oxfordshire border. As Head of Photographic Studio, you will oversee all the growing teams, which consist of Photography, Film & Video, Retouching, CGI and Production.
Your key focus will be on developing and building upon their reputation as a leading multimedia content production facility, that services some of the world's biggest brands and best agencies.
The Photographic Studio
Currently a team of 15 talented creative individuals who go above and beyond to produce creatively led, engaging content across multiple channels, from photography to film and CGI.
The team that this role manages are all engaged and excited to move into the next phase, where they are looking to grow, both commercially and in their offering, which will encompass building and developing the team, infrastructure, systems and processes.
The Role
* Embed client brand and product strategies into digital, broadcast and stills content production
* Drive and improve business performance in terms of sales, income, operating efficiency and profitability
* Shape and implement key strategic initiatives to grow the business
* Lead the growth activity of the photographic studio and contribute to it
* Build and develop the team, infrastructure, systems and processes
* Development and implementation of a business plan to deliver income growth to GBP2m by 2020, achieving accepted industry margins
* Offer development including film and content production
* Maintain a full understanding of the content production industry, client trends and competitors positionings to ensure that this Photographic Studio offering is compelling and competitive
* Responsible for Client relationships, including performance of the retained account
About You
You will have experience of leading a team within a photographic studio environment, whether that be within an internal studio or a stand-alone photographic studio, you will have a strong understanding of shoot production, photography, film and CGI.
You will have the ability to think through, create and deliver strategies for showcasing to clients what this leading studio can offer. You will have good business acumen and the ability to deal directly with clients and be confident in presenting to clients or negotiating on new work. Most of all, they want a great people person who is a good networker and who is bursting with energy and ideas!
