Major Duties/ Responsibilities

• Owner of Disaster Recovery relationship with global Business Continuity Teams. Building relationships up to VP level.

• Owner of interface into the Business to communicate and agree approach to fulfilling the requirements we have from Business teams with DR process validation, test script creation and testing involvement.

• Own process to ensure we have up to date DR requirements from the Business Continuity teams.

• Deliver Business inputs into strategy of how we mature our long term DR capabilities.

• Ensuring documentation and training to perform recovery tasks (including Communication Plans, DR Plans etc.) is available, up to date and effective in supporting recovery processes

• Participating within IT Change and Release Management processes to help identify and respond as needed, to ensure DR readiness is maintained and the impact of production changes is properly addressed within the DR recovery /span>

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Extensive IT or other relevant experience
  • Management experience in people, technology and systems
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure technologies like Servers, Storage, Network, Automation tools (Ansible/Terrsform/vRA), Cloud technology solutions (Azure/Oracle/IBM), etc. including project management, business requirements, performance testing, technologies/platforms, frameworks, and/or other methodologies applicable to assigned domain.
  • Recognized thought leader for one or more functional areas, processes or technical capabilities within assigned domain.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and direct multiple, geographically distributed work groups comprised of disparate skills.
  • Strong performance management skills to include coaching, goal setting, holding team members and self-accountable for commitments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, demanding, and fluid remains calm under pressure, demonstrates excellent conflict management skills.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work up and down the organization; able to influence others to achieve results.
