Role: Delegate Sales Executive
Location: Godalming (near Godalming train station)
Salary: £10 - £15 per hour (dependent on experience), including an individual bonus scheme
Hours: 20 hours per week, flexible hours considered
Contract: Fixed term contract from early October 2018 to end of May 2019
Reporting to: Marketing Manager, VET Festival
Role overview: Responsible for sales of delegate places to vets/vet nurses/practice managers to VET Festival, 7-8 June 2019.

VET Festival is now in its 5th year and is a CPD conference for the veterinary industry with a difference. It takes place outdoors in a field in Surrey and is unique as it’s a music festival and conference combined with a chilled and relaxed atmosphere.
Key responsibilities for VET Festival:
- Telesales to all previous delegates to encourage event attendance
- Conducting new delegate list research and update and enhance the database accordingly reaching out to vets that haven’t been previously
- Report delegate sales achieved and pipeline prospects accurately and promptly for weekly reports and keep the Pipeline updated
- Be aware of all ticket offers and the ability to offer discounts if appropriate
- Increase the number of group booking and develop strong relationships with key personnel responsible for group bookings
- Ensure all delegate bookings are tracked to develop year on year comparisons
- Understand the events speakers and conference programme to gain better insight for selling the tickets
- Ensure strong customer service focus at all times dealing with any delegate queries promptly and efficiently
- Update the database daily and use it to track all conversations etc.
Other responsibilities:
- Ad hoc admin tasks to support the other Fitz All Media events as and when required – database work and general admin in quieter periods of sales for VET Festival
Skills and experience required
Essential
- Confident and concise telephone manner and proven ability to communicate on email and telephone
- Good written and verbal communication skills and client service intuition
- Resilient, highly organised, self-starter
Desirable
- Developed IT and system skills and experience, in particular Excel and databases
- Telesales experience
