Vacancy: Internal Sales Engineer / Account Manager
Location: Todmorden, close to Halifax
Salary & Benefits: GBP19,000 - GBP30,000 DOE + Company Car + Pension + Phone + Laptop
Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm with flexibility when working on the road
The Company: Our client are specialist distributors of electrical components such as automotive relays, rocker switches, circuit breakers, vehicle lighting, micro switches, inductive sensors, Atex limit switches, safety interlock switches, fans and industrial relays. They sell to a wide range of industries such as specialist vehicle manufacturers, machinery manufacturers, factories and wholesalers. A vacancy has arisen for a Internal Sales Engineer / Account Manager to join the team based in Todmorden, close to Halifax.
The Role: As an Internal Sales Engineer/Account Manager, you will be based within the office with some requirement to travel; to maintain contact with key customers and follow up of new opportunities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities of the Internal Sales Engineer/Account Manager :
• Taking incoming telephone and email messages
• Quoting customers
• Liaise with suppliers for technical and commercial information.
• Process orders
• Place orders with suppliers
• Monitor and follow up enquiries.
• Recommend and organize marketing campaigns.
• Maintain mail lists
The Candidate: Whilst product training will be given for the Internal Sales Engineer/Account Manager , candidates must have a good general knowledge of electrical components, preferably with a qualification in electronics or electrical engineering. Prior experience in a technical sales or business development role would be an advantage.
Essential Candidate Criteria:
• Good understanding of electrical components
• Full driving licence and willing to travel on occasions
• Excellent communication skills
• Live within a commutable distance to Todmorden, near Halifax
Desirable Candidate Criteria:
• Some form of electrical training/knowledge e.g. HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering / Apprenticeship / similar
