Youngstock Manager - South West

De Lacy Executive has been retained to recruit a youngstock manager on a diversified dairy estate in the South West. Reporting directly to the Herds Manager, the successful applicant will work to ensure that youngstock are reared to the highest of welfare standards.

Responsibilities:

• That duties such as feeding, weighing and mucking out are compliant with the company's aim for high standards of animal welfare and health and safety for its employees, contractors and visitors.
• All activities relating to the management of youngstock are carried out to the highest possible standard and in a timely manner, highlighting of sick or lame animals and treating them accordingly.
• Accurate Record keeping for feeding, weighing and medical treatment.

Requirements:

• Have previous experience in youngstock management
• Be computer literate with a sound knowledge of herd computer based records; Interherd experience would be ideal but not necessarily required
• Work under the guidance of the existing herd manager
• Hold a full valid UK Driving Licence
