A new role has become available in the North London area. You will be working as part of the Youth Offending Unit as a pre-court and prevention case officer. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
•To direct all efforts to the Youth Offending Units main aim of preventing any offending, exclusions from school or any anti-social behaviour.
•Work directly with offenders and their families or carers.
•Collaborating with any relevant agencies in the assessment and support of clients to make sure high quality interventions are delivered.
•Report any information which may be heard, witnessed or obtained in any other way involving crime or child protection issues.
•To write up reports specific to the role and potentially have to present evidence to the courts.
Essentials
•Previous experience working within a Youth Offending role and in similar environment.
Key Skills
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with a wide variety of people (young people, their families, other agencies and professionals)
•Strong organisational skills
•Ability to work well and remain relaxed under pressure
•Good level of it skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
•Being able to take own initiative as well as part of a team
