Astute Technical Recruitment are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work on a natural gas related project within the Cambridgeshire area. The work will focus on all aspects related to the mechanical installation of Gas Compressors.

The Quantity Surveyor will be ideally based in the area and have a background working on Civils/M+E aspects within projects in the Power Generation/Petrochemical/Oil & Gas sector. The QS should have good contract negotiation skills, communication skills and a track record of completing projects to budget and time.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Subcontractor payments
• CVR's
• Report Writing
• Valuations
• Take Off's
• Pricing Variations
• Compensation Events
• Early Warning Notices
• Claims
• Final Accounts

This ideal candidate would have a CCNSG qualification but this is not essential. Most important is demonstrable experience in the area of Mechanical and Civils work within a heavy process environment.
