We are looking to recruit dynamic Telecoms Engineers to join our growing Engineering and Technical Department.
 

Our Technical Team are responsible for the provisioning of telecommunications products and services in a B2B environment. Ideal candidates will be customer service focused with excellent communication skills. Previous telecoms experience is preferable. 

The Technical Consultant / Telecoms 2nd Line Support Engineer Role:

+ Installing, supporting and maintaining of Hosted & Avaya IP Office, hosted telephony, LAN/WAN equipment.
+ Voice cabling and installing CAT5 cabling.
+ Design, installation, testing and maintenance of CAT5e, CAT6, and Cw1308 cable schemes
+ Provide support on connectivity including PSTN, ISDN, SIP, ADSL, FTTC and Leased Lines
+ Installation/configuration and fault finding of SIP services, configuration and maintenance on Draytek routers
+ Installing new equipment; in-house and client site
+ Implement internal hardware/software upgrades 
+ 2LCS (second line customer support) / Resolving tickets (in-house and client) within contracted SLA’s
+ Provide support to 1LCS Helpdesk
+ Pre-Sales Support
+ Pre-Staging Equipment
+ Implement and maintain unified communications technologies that support the day to day and strategic needs of the business. 
+ Updating departmental documentation and develop our Technical/Engineering Company Library
+ Assisting field engineers as required

The Person:

+ The ideal candidate will have knowledge of telephony and the technology market.
+ A flexible and positive approach toward problem solving.
+ Ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Excellent IT skills including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Installations and Migrations.
+ Good understanding of networks, WAN, LAN, switching, routing security and SIP trunks
+ An ability to assess each customer/employee's IT knowledge levels
+ Experience of engineering activity with telephone systems, IT networking and IP Addresses.
+ Ability to work in a team environment.
+ Keen to learn new technologies.
+ Full UK Drivers Licence
+ You will need to have a degree or equivalent in Information Technology preferably with a focus on Networks. 

The role is office based with field-based customers. You must be prepared to travel for business, a company vehicle is provided for on-site visits. Training will be provided, covering Hosted Telephony Systems, Gamma/Horizon and In-House training.
