We are looking for a skilled candidate to join our growing team in a Finance Analyst role. The candidate must have a minimum of two years in a finance role post-finance qualification.

About us:


We are a privately owned retailer selling entertainment media such as books, CD’s, DVD’s, games and tech products t+ customers around the world. These products are sourced in large quantities and in a variety of re-sale conditions, ranging from brand new overstock goods to used refurbished/reconditioned items.

We trade on some of the world's biggest online marketplaces where third party suppliers are encouraged to advertise their products and make them available to customers of those marketplaces. In addition to third party marketplaces, we operate a number of our own brands/websites where we have full control over product offering, pricing and the customer journey. The company has grown since its inception in 2006 and now employs over 180 staff in three separate countries, shipping 15,000+ items each day to customers across the globe.

This role will report in directly to the FD.

The Role:

We are seeking an intelligent, highly motivated finance analyst. 

The role involves:

+ Working with our data analytics team to understand initiatives and strategies which inform our revenue forecasting and contribute to turning these into financial statements.
+ Work on budgeting processes with a view to created well planned and forecasted monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.
+ Analyse and understand variances vs budget and work with teams to improve budgeting process based on root causes of variance.
+ Contribute to production of management accounts and interpretation of those accounts understanding what those accounts show with respect to plan vs performance.
+ Create cash flow models for new product launches and contribute to understanding the viability of such proposals. Be prepared to present findings and recommendations based on this to relevant internal stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

+ ACA/ACCA/CIMA fully qualified.
+ Will have graduated from university with a good degree.
+ 2+ years as a financial analyst/management accountant with good responsibility in role.
+ Evidence of having tackled projects “cold” or building processes “from scratch”.
+ Excellent communicator, with understanding of how t+ bridge finance and non-finance disciplines.
+ Strong Excel skills including pivots, macros, advanced formula (SQL skills also an advantage though not
essential).

+ Salary: £40,000 -£50,000
+ Commencing: ASAP.
+ Hours: 0900-1730 or equivalent.
+ Holidays: 28 days in total per annum.
