Service Support Worker - Weekends
Location: Basingstoke
Contract type: Fixed Term until March 2019
Hours per week: 11 (Saturday/Sunday)
Salary: Circa GBP16,062 pro rata (GBP8.83 per hour)
About the role
If you love helping people in need, looking for a rewarding role or to kick start your career in Health and Social Care sector this position might be for you! We are looking for an individual who loves helping people in need to join our fantastic Independent Living (IL) team in Basingstoke.
You will be providing practical and emotional support to service users in Basingstoke and Alton as a part time Support Worker. With a strong interest in supporting people, you will be working as part of the wider Support at Home team helping people regain their confidence and goals towards independence to help prevent unnecessary admission or readmission to hospital. We visit service users once a week for up to 6 weeks followed by up to 6 weeks of phone support. The role does not involve personal care.
A full driving licence valid for use in the UK and access to a vehicle is essential for this role
About the team
The Independent Living & Crisis Response service (IL/CR) supports people in the space between hospital and home and responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency; maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across health, social care, and emergency services

Also, you should be the following:
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent by experience)
- IT literate
- Full driving licence holder and access to own vehicle
- Have a good knowledge of services provided by the NHS and Social Care
