Job Description
To oversee the cleaning department on a day to day basis to ensure the cleaning function with the distribution centre is proficient and well organised (scheduling workloads via the CMMS system), ensuring tasks are completed in line with Company procedures and policy.

Main objectives and responsibilities

  • Duties include vacuuming, polishing, dusting, emptying bins, cleaning toilets and any other related tasks as required
  • Ensure each shift rota has a breakdown of responsibilities required for each area
  • To use cleaning materials and consumables as recommended by supplier
  • Have a responsibility for ensuring safety in the workplace
  • Ensure all equipment used is to an hygienic standard at all times
  • Ensure Cleaning equipment is inspected by Cleaning Operatives and in a serviceable condition
  • Oversee the ordering and issuing of cleaning supplies
  • Schedule and oversee Cleaning Operatives workload via the CMMS
  • Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are maintained
  • Supervise the cleaning team; communicating clearly to the team individually and as a group, to ensure good two way communication
  • Provide training to the cleaning team, ensuring they are provided with the most up to date Company procedures
  • Responsible for performance and absence management of the cleaning team

Shifts: 9.00-5.00pm a rolling rota of 5 days on 2 days off

Salary Negotiable depending on experience
