The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic early careers/apprenticeships specialist to join a small team in our multi-national defence systems business. This person will lead the design and development of our early careers programmes, and apprenticeships for experienced employees. They will work with our business areas to ensure that we deliver high quality learning experiences for all programme members.

The Role

- You will be consulting with and advising internal stakeholders, detecting key business challenges for the future, and helping to identify and build early careers or apprenticeship solutions to address those needs.
- You will be working with external learning providers and academic institutions to ensure that MBDA ECPs and apprenticeships deliver to meet our business requirements.
- You will be reviewing our existing early careers programmes and apprenticeships to identify and implement improvements and changes necessary to ensure our programmes are attractive in the recruitment marketplace, but also providing high quality employees into the business
- You will be managing one or two team members initially, with a prospect of the team growing in the future. You will be responsible for ensuring that your team co-ordinates and administrates the programmes effectively.
- It will be important to maintain close and effective working relationships with the Early Careers Recruitment team to ensure that they have great programmes to promote, and that they recruit high calibre candidates for the company

What are we looking for? - You will ideally be educated to degree level and preferably with, or working towards, a CIPD or other relevant qualification
- You will be a clear and credible communicator, and a passionate advocate for early careers programme and apprenticeships
- You will have some previous development experience
- Ideally you will have a good knowledge of the Apprentice Levy and the early careers sector
- You will be proactive and resilient, with the initiative and real drive to achieve results
- You will be thorough and well-organised with the ability to think and plan ahead
- You will build strong working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers and will be an ambassador for the team and the HR function
- You will be aware of your own impact on others, confident using a variety of influencing styles, and will be comfortable challenging others at all levels of the organisation.
- You will be able to work flexibly as some travel to Bristol or Bolton will be required

- A generalist HR background would be valuable.
