A vacancy has arisen for a 0-3 PQE Solicitor to work in the Construction team based in our Exeter office. This role is a full time opportunity working 9am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday.

The Role:

You will be working as a Solicitor within the Construction Team dealing with a balanced mix of disputes and non-contentious work. You will undertake a varied caseload and assist with all aspects of construction work including adjudication, arbitration and litigation work as well as advising on contract drafting and professional appointments and bank lending documents. You will provide support to the partner in the team. This is an exciting role which offers the chance to develop real expertise and to become a leading specialist in this area.

The successful applicant will also be expected to get involved in business development activities.

Are you the right person?

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor who has some experience of construction work and litigation although this is not a necessity. An enthusiasm for helping to build and develop this specialist team within our geographical area is essential! 

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a focus on exceptional client care. You will be able to work in a busy and highly professional environment.

The position would suit someone who is highly organised, accurate, proactive and committed to meeting deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure. Excellent all round communication skills, professional telephone manner and attention to detail is essential. You will also have a flexible approach and ability to work within a team environment

You will also need to be IT literate and be able to use a case management system.
