Services Manager
Pier Recruitment are assisting a successful, leading charity in their search for a Manager of their Brighton-based service for adults with learning disabilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience within charity work and the Not-For-Profit sector or with services for adults with learning disabilities. You will be managing a centre and all staff and activities here. The centre is based in Brighton and is easily accessed by public transport.
This is a fast-paced and busy role that would suit someone with managerial experience and who has worked with adults with Learning Disabilities or within the charity sector.
The role:
* Managing a successful and busy support centre for adults with learning disabilities
* Managing staff and volunteers - including reviews and training and providing support
* Coordinating local services
* Working a shift pattern that includes weekends and evenings
* Adhering to legislation including Health & Safety and Best Practice
* Setting and working to budgets
* Organising and facilitating of training
* Recruiting staff
* Facilitating communication between department
* Dealing with rotas for staff
You will:
* Demonstrate experience in a similar position
* Have experience of managing staff, a centre and teams
* Ideally have experience working with adults Learning Disabilities
* Have experience of working within the charity/not-for-profit sector
* Have a strong understanding of related legislation
* Have experience of recruiting staff
* Be able to implement training
* Be available to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings
This position in paying up to GBP25,500 per annum and offers a supportive, engaging and rewarding work environment
