A fantastic medium sized main contractor who is currently turning over a modest GBP40m per year are now on the lookout for an Assistant Estimator to join their team. Having had 40 years of successful trade, it is no surprise that they are well known and respected in the North. Having excellent service and obtaining repeat business is something this main contractor prides themselves on, creating a great atmosphere for all staff members to work in is another.
Striving for internal promotion is obviously a common goal but is not always a reality or even possible. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of fantastic projects including both new build and refurbishment tenders.
Some of your responsibilities:
* The company have an Assistant Estimator opportunity based in the North West
* This would be working on tenders concurrently which would range from new build or refurbishment schemes in a variety of sectors including Industrial, commercial, healthcare and leisure based projects up to GBP12 Million in value which is predominantly JCT Design and Build form of contracts
* This is a brand new opportunity and my client are looking to get interviews in place as soon as possible
* This is an office-based role with occasional site visits.
* The company will offer up to GBP40k as a basic salary and on top of this you will also expect to receive an car package as well as at least 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
* There are annual salary reviews, pension and private healthcare as well as discretionary bonuses.
You must have:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or another form of construction would be preferred
* Candidates are ideally asked to have come from a main contracting background
* At least two years in an estimating related role is preferred
