We are a registered care and support charity that offers services to just over 6000 people within the Midlands. These services include supporting people within registered care, domiciliary care, people with learning difficulties, those with mental health issues, young people at risk, older people, BME groups, people at risk of being homeless and those fleeing domestic abuse. Trident has over 50 years of delivering homes, services and innovation to over 6,000 people in just over 3,300 homes in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands. It employs more than 800 staff, works with over 150 volunteers and provides training places and apprenticeships for many more.
About the role
Due to continued growth we are currently looking to recruit a number of Property Maintenance Trade Operatives to join our team. This will involve working on void properties as well as reactive works for units that are occupied.
The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am-4.30pm. There is a late rota, which is approximately, one in every ten weeks which is 9.30am-6pm. There will be a requirement to be part of an emergency "out of hours" rota which again is approximately one in every ten weeks.
About you
* General maintenance experience with an understanding of the basic principles of plumbing, electrics, painting and decorating
* Aptitude for learning and problem solving skills
* High standard of workmanship with attention to detail
* An awareness of health and safety requirements and safe working practices
* Ability to self-motivate and motivate others within a team as well as been able to work with limited supervision
* Full UK Driving Licence - a van will be provided to conduct the role
* A BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check is required to work on this contract and will be essential for you to pass as part of the role.
* Own tools, and use these for the role but materials to complete jobs will be provided
