North Somerset. Permanent. Salary GBP28k to GBP35k. Our Client employs 900 people, has a turnover of ???93 million, and specialises in the design and manufacture of mechanical and composite components and equipment primarily for the aerospace industry. They have 170 employees developing and manufacturing bearings and units.

Your job will be servicing, faultfinding, repairing and improving on a wide range of production equipment, including CNC lathes, mills and grinding machines. Preventative Maintenance. Delivering a high quality of workmanship. Resolve breakdowns. Faultfind to the cause of failures. Source and purchase spares. Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks. Coordinate with Operators, Managers, Engineers and Contractors. Be pro-active in supporting, creating and implementing good working practices. Drive a continuous improvement culture. Support supplier and subcontractor development. Run your operations according to the Company's Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety and Quality Policies, and work according to our Client's Quality Management System

You will be apprentices trained and have City & Guilds, NVQ's , BTEC, HNC, HND. Experience in a CNC manufacturing environment. Understand good maintenance and engineering practices. Able to use your own initiative and work autonomously. Be flexible to work overtime and support a small team. Excellent communication skills and mechanical experience. Good understanding of Preventative Maintenance principles and methodologies.
