This is a rare opportunity to join Schur Star Systems, a Division of Schur International, where innovation and tradition goes hand in hand.  The Schur business, which remains family owned, was established in 1846, and is one of Europe’s oldest packaging businesses.

Schur Star Systems offers unique concepts consisting of packaging machine, and laminated, barrier bags, offering customers improved operational excellence, increased marketing opportunities and profit improvement.

Operating out of Germany, US and Australia, Schur Star Systems supplies a diverse range of customers in food, industrial, medical & healthcare sectors, with a growing sales portfolio in the UK. 

This role, created following the development of a new packaging machine, will be responsible for:

  • Identification and development of profitable new business and technical projects across the UK.
  • Providing technical service/engineering support, as required, to UK customers
  • Development of strong multi-functional relationships, both internally, and with customers, to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Provision of effective, innovative, technical solutions to customer problems, working closely with the Schur Star technical teams.

Candidates must have a proven Sales/Technical Sales/Business Development background, ideally gained with a packaging machinery/systems manufacturer or provider. Service Engineers with strong commercial/customer development skills may also be considered.

With a sound technical/engineering mindset, commercial and financial acumen is required, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to network and develop relationships at all levels.
