Job Role:
An exciting opportunity for a slitting operator has arisen, based in Nottingham. Working within a progressive manufacturing environment, the job holder is responsible to the Slitting Crew Leader in the efficient operation of secondary slitting machines throughout the shift.
The Slit operator is responsible for the slitting, inspection finishing and packing of reels to the customer's specifications, whilst maintaining a high quality and finishing level throughout.
Duties:
* To carry out other duties as is within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your Line Manager.
* As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the job holder
* To deliver objectives as agreed and outlined in the PDR process
* All PDR's to be completed on time and in full
* Responsible for ensuring that all products made and all quality checks are carried out in accordance with laid down quality and standard operating procedures.
* The job holder will be expected to take an active role and assist in the day to day planning and offer advice as and when required
* Responsible for the continuous achievement of optimum output and efficiencies.
* Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental Policies relating to your work area are adhered to by yourself at all times.
You should have the following skills, experience and/or qualifications:
* Experience of working within a manufacturing Environment - Packaging / Labels - FLEXO required
* Slitting / Rewind experience
* Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
* Sound knowledge of safe working practices.
