Charter Sales Associate - Fleet Bookings & Boat Acquisition Manager

Job Specification: Sales Associate

Boatafloat.com is looking to employ a crucial sales and business development associate to be responsible for UK boat acquisition and onboarding sailing yachts, motorboats and any other craft from paddleboards and dinghies to tall ships and superyachts.

Core Duties

• Originating relationships with charter bookers; event managers, corporate contacts with a view to establishing regular bookings.
• Acquisition of new boat owners through;
  - Cold calling charter companies and building meaningful relationships with them.
  - Following leads with independent owners.
  - Assisting in marketing and brand development
• Responsible for listing new boats (data entry).
• Meeting sales targets
• Management of customer relationships
• Publishing regularly to social media.
• Feed product development information back to the technical team
• Acting as a responsible brand ambassador for Boatafloat.com in the local community

About you

You don't have to be a top sailor, but we do expect you to have an appreciation, active interest, and passion for boats.

We also expect you to be/have:

• Enthusiastic, high-energy aspiring sales professional motivated to succeed.
• A disciplined self-starter who is ambitious to become an integral part of a growing company.
• Ability to demonstrate a methodical approach to work and manage own time effectively.
• Happy to work in a very small team
• Ability to work independently and without close supervision
• Experience of Social Media Marketing is a nice to have.
• Willingness to learn and develop sales skills.
• Experience of or aptitude for Social Media Marketing

Marine industry or E-commerce experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Fundamentally, you need to get excited about calling boat owners and charter companies and listing their boats on the site.
