Demand Analyst (Temporary)

Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

GBP14.68 per hour

Our client, a global manufacturing organisation located in Huddersfield, is currently looking to recruit a Demand Analyst to work on a temporary basis, initially for a period of 12 months.

Working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, this role will be paying GBP14.68 per hour.

The successful candidate will ensure the requisite number of parts are supplied to the manufacturing operation through the use of the demand plan, whilst analysing and leading continuous improvement in the disaggregation of the forecast to a part number level.

Applicants will ideally come from a Supply Chain or Sales and Marketing background, with experience of Six Sigma.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Obtain, process, record, analyse and control execution of the Demand Schedule in order to provide a credible demand signal to the business.
  • Support the Customer Service / Demand Leadership Team and in some cases lead in developing and successfully completing improvement projects throughout the order, forecast management functions with measurable effect and documenting processes.
  • Develop good knowledge and strong relationships with customers, Demand Control Leader and Account Managers in order to facilitate order fulfilment and customer supply agreements and also provide analytical support, in particular data analysis to the OM/Sales teams for the agreed period to support improvement of the demand plan.
  • Initiate, recommend and drive business process improvement work across functional areas that are involved with improving forecast accuracy, approving forecast exceptions and the respective KPI's for the agreed period.
  • Be responsible for the interface between incoming customer demand, Account Management, Customer Service and Master Production Controller.
  • Responsible for ensuring forecast integrity, assessing conformance to supply agreement, pursuing changes when required, tracking and understanding assumptions by the respective sales teams that underpin the differences between customer and factory demand forecast.

Person Specification

  • Experience in Supply Chain or Sales and Marketing.
  • Six Sigma trained or show willingness to be trained.
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle (Preferred).
  • Fundamental understanding of SBP (Synchronized Business Planning) (Preferred).
