About the Role
The Operations team is a core part of the Auction business, made up of various functions; Yard, Inspections, VCP and Imaging.
Joining us as Valuation Station Operative, you will assist the Sales team with valuations by checking vehicles offered for trade, using software systems such as Seller Advance, CAP Anywhere and Autotrader iControl.
The Valuation Station Operative will liaise with the Sales Administrator to ensure paperwork for trade cars, taken in part exchange, is available and then arrange for those cars to be checked against the appraisal for things like condition, spare keys and service history. You will arrange for these to be made available for collection, so they can be offered for sale as soon as possible. You will also create daily reports for all vehicles valued that should be retailed and provide this data to the Management team. You will collate a report detailing areas such as sale prices vs Seller Advance, costs and profit and loss and cross reference all vehicles that are due to be offered for sale by checking the pre-sales reports.
We’re looking for an individual who has knowledge of vehicle conditions and vehicle derivatives and who can prioritise workload, working to tight deadlines. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to cope well under pressure and be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office packages. Basic mechanical knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
