Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance supervisor - Birmingham - Continental Shifts 4 on 4 off - GBP50,000 - Permanent - Bupa Health care

Proftech talent are looking for x2 Maintenance supervisor to join an ever expanding team in the Birmingham area.

The main duties and responsilibiltes for the Maintenance supervisor is:

- Complete regular reviews of PPM

- Implement plant and process improvements

- Liaise closely with maintenance and operations to maximise opportunities during plant downtime

- Indentify cost savings through plant improvement and energy savings

- Anaylsis or engineering based non standards

- Ensure safe working through methid statements and risk assessments

- Demonstrate fault finding and Analytical ability

- Able to coach Maintenance staff as required pn technical issues

- Be able to produce technical plant reports on dangerous occurences an plant incidents

- Manager purchase orders and payment authorisation

- Ability to identify and plan work to avoid unplanned production outages

- Ability to communicate at a twchnical level with peers and external experts

The Maintenance supervisor must hold a degree/HNC in Mechanical engineering

Technical skills required for the Maintenance supervisor position's:

- Senior forge plant engineer - A sound understanding of complex Hydraulic systems, Knowledge of Forging press operations, Knowledge of reheat furnances refractories and controls, Pneumatics systems, Cranes ligting quipment, Knowledge of civil and building engineering

- Senior Melt section plant engineer - A sound understanding of complex vaccum systems, Knwoledge of Vacuum Arc Furnaces and assicated controls, Knowledge of Plasma Arc welding, pneumatics, Cranes and lifting equipment, knowledge of heat exchangers and Thermodyanmics
