A great new opportunity for a Branch Manager, in a thriving removals company in Birmingham, has become available. They are looking for an individual extremely capable in sales with experience in the commercial removals' environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for branch success, implementing targets and providing strong leadership within the removals industry.
Responsibilities:
Sales/Business Development
Ensure the efficient and successful running of the branch's performance
Responsible for the adherence of safety protocol
Conduct analysis of commercial removals market for potential areas of profit and business development
Formulate client reports, advertising material and plans
Create and cultivate client relationships to provide client satisfaction
Set and adhere to target goals, quarterly aims and objectives
Negotiate quality business deals, tender agreements, agree rates and fees and close deals
Operations
Ensure legal compliance is maintained
Make sure all Company Premises are maintained kept secure to protect company effects
Manage operating costs and make sure resources are used responsibly
Identify and address any staff training requirements
Comply with H&S legislation to ensure a safe working environment
People Management
Manage a team of 15 staff
Host weekly meetings to discuss task delegation, address issues, monitor sick leave and attendance, reprimand and praise staff.
Manage sales staff setting KPI's to achieve maximum output
Interview and recruit branch staff introduce the new staff, staff training, coaching and support
Review staff performance and address any issues, as well as annual appraisals
Set quarterly and annual targets and objectives
Committed to Performance Management development

Maintain that the day to day credit control is controlled effectively
Perform auditing and quality checking
Participate to strategic projects and / or regional group initiatives
Attend management meetings
Resource branch effectively regarding leave, succession planning, recruitment and selection, in line with the branch requirements
Implement procedures and policies as directed by management
Skills Required:
Experience in the commercial removals' environment
Strong commercial removals sales knowledge and ability
Staff management skills required
Ability to coach and train others in the team
Exceptional leadership, planning and prioritising skills
Customer focused
Aptitude for problem solving
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Good IT skills
