Our client is a recently created pensions asset manager. It will be the largest of the eight nationally pooled funds, and will oversee the investment of pensions assets, bringing together £43 billion investments of 12 likeminded Local Government Pensions Scheme funds.

They are building an FCA regulated investment company to manage these assets through both internal and external management with a number of investment vehicles, including an Authorised Contractual Scheme. Work on creating the company is well progressed with the first two funds having already transitioned.

They are now looking for a Senior PMO Officer to ensure projects and programme are run in a repeatable, standardised and sustainable way; that governance and process are adhered to and that key reporting metrics are produced to ensure the effective running of the change programme.

In the role you will manage the portfolio pipeline and the process by which new projects are identified, scored, prioritised and taken through to governance – vetting and ensuring the business case is sound. Defining Process and Procedures by ensuring Target Operating Model (TOM), project documentation and programme governance are updated, you will manage the company change portfolio and maintain the Change Management Toolkit, Contracts Log and Procurement Registers and Portals.

The PMO is also responsible for ensuring that projects are monitored post implementation to report on the business benefits they set out to achieve.

With good experience in administering and governing projects/ programmes in organisations and in an established PMO, you will have a track record in delivery of a PMO in a cross functional organisation and experience of working with external partners, e.g. Managed Service Providers delivering robust documented processes. Evidence of personal development in a relevant discipline and knowledge of PMO and project methodologies, you will ideally have knowledge of the ICT and Financial Services Sector.
