Our client is a residential care home based in Newton Abbot who have an enviable reputation. They are currently recruiting for a breakfast Chef to join their friendly team. You will work as part of a small team reporting directly to the Head Chef. You will produce nutritional well-balanced meals for residents taking into account special dietary requirements.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the catering provision for approx 80 residents taking into account dietary requirements and swallowing conditions
* Provide nutritional well-balanced meals for our residents
* Oversee all health and safety requirements including HACCP and COSHH
* Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained to a high standard
* Ensure all Food Safety guidelines are followed and all paperwork is accurate
Person Specification
* Ability to maintain high standards of food preparation and service with an eye for detail, taking pride in your work at all times
* To work safely and within the guidelines provided to maintain a high level of health and safety
* A flexible approach with the ability to make decisions and problem solve
* A good knowledge of COSHH, HACCP
* Knowledge of Food Information Regulations, Allergens and special diets
* Experience of working in a Care environment
* An enhanced DBS check (we can assist you with this)
Hours: Straight shifts
Monday to Friday 7:30am to 14:00pm
For this the Successful Chef will receive GBP9.00 per hour.
