Tutor / Assessor – Human Resources

Permanent, Part Time (2.5 days per week)

Our client is an independent training provider that has been helping young people move forward with their lives for over 30 years.

They are now looking for a Tutor / Assessor to deliver engaging, effective and innovative training sessions to Apprentices in group settings and on a one-to-one basis.

Planning and facilitating engaging schemes of work, you will deliver inspiring training that meets criteria and standards for apprenticeships whilst managing Individual Learning Programmes, closely monitoring and reviewing progress.

Ensuring that Apprentices’ attendance and retention targets are met, you will conduct and use initial assessment whilst setting appropriate but challenging targets and goals. You will assess Apprentices’ portfolios, providing regular supportive and developmental feedback, and conduct timely one-to-one visits with Apprentices’ in the workplace and support and facilitate progress.

So if you hold a Level 2 qualification (as a minimum) in English and Maths and have proven Human Resources experience, then they would love to hear from you!

They are looking for an individual who has a positive, bubbly and engaging personality and who can successfully deliver training sessions in group settings and on a one-to-one basis. With a good understanding of Apprenticeship programmes, you will be able to build rapport with target groups and retain their attention during training sessions. Highly motivated and able to work well under pressure, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to assess work and complete observations against standards and criteria.

If successful in this post, you will be required to gain a Level 3 teaching qualification and a Level 3 qualification in English and/or Maths within six months of your appointment if you do not already hold these.
