Team Leader - Scaffolder

Would you like to an excellent opportunity to join an experienced team within the build services department? We currently have a vacancy for a Team Leader - Scaffolder at our site in Barrow.

As a Team Leader - Scaffolder, you will be tasked to lead and develop a team of employees in achieving departmental goals and performance targets.

This role will provide you with the ability to take responsibility for the performance management of the team, including scheduled performance reviews in line with the company process.

Manage relationships in line with good working practice behaviours and continue to improve the partnership between management and trade unions

Your main responsibilities as a Team Leader - Scaffolder will involve:

Maintain high standards of safety in work, ensuring all lifts are compliant with current legislation

Take responsibility to regularly check works currently being undertaken to ensure the operative is working correctly and efficiently

Knowledge of HSE management systems, specifically the processes and documentation, training and risk assessments and Maintaining accurate records

Communicating effectively via toolbox talks

Coaching and enforcing the company processes and procedures

Take responsibility for the performance management of the team

Ordering new equipment when necessary

Liaising with the management team to provide regular updates

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential -

Qualified Part 2 scaffolder

Ability to read design drawings

People management experience

Have a good understanding of health and safety procedures

Have an understanding of the importance of accurate record keeping with regard to the work undertaken in their area.

Desirables -

Qualified Advanced scaffolder

Experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders

Excellent coaching and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach those at any level in the business

Have knowledge of various software packages, SAP, Success Factors, Process Library etc.
