Time to take your career in a new direction? With First Bus you can in more ways than one, by becoming a First Bus driver.

We’re hosting a Recruitment Open Day at our Blantyre Depot, for people from all walks of life. Whether you’ve driven buses before, or never been behind the wheel, you can join one of Lanarkshire's largest employers and take to the roads as part of our fleet. If you’ve worked in a customer-facing role such as retail or sales before, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

The idea of driving a bus can be daunting, but it really isn’t as difficult as you may think.

We can teach you everything you need to know, you just need to be over the age of 18, and hold a driving licence. Once recruited, you will train at our Driving Academy with our skilled instructors and be behind the wheel serving the people of Lanarkshire in no time.

If you already have a PCV licence, we are offering a £2,300 sign on bonus (T&Cs apply), bus experience is not required. So, experienced or not, there’s never been a better time to drive your career forward, with First Bus.
