Infrastructure Project Manager Banking Technology Finance

Infrastructure Project Manager (Project Manager Infrastructure Application Networking Telephony Data Centre Virtualisation VMware Infrastructure Finance Banking) required by our banking client in London.

You MUST have the following:

• Current experience as a project manager or project management officer (PMO) or project management analyst
• Delivery of infrastructure and application projects such as data centres, networking, telephone, office moves, desktop moves, migrations and upgrades
• Some exposure to coordinating the delivery of projects from inception to delivery/go-live
• Exposure to stakeholder management, reporting and communication skills
• Exposure to budgeting and time management oversight

The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:

• Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments
• PRINCE2 certification
• Banking
• Front Office trading

Role: Infrastructure Project Manager (Application PRINCE2 IT Desktop Server Data Centre Trading Finance Banking) required by our investment banking client in London. You will be joining the Head of Technology Projects and a graduate, who deliver projects for the European infrastructure and application environment. The environment includes a trade floor and satellite offices in Europe and New York.

You will be experienced in the delivery of projects from inception to delivery, managing budget and timelines and be familiar with project delivery frameworks. You will be trained to deliver multiple projects, of various lengths, at once as the sole project manager and in a team. Lastly, you may also have experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments.

Recent projects have included core network upgrades, switch replacements, storage replacement and the delivery of CMDB. Upcoming projects include a data centre move and consolidation initiative, a Front Office hardware refresh and plans to develop the team from the infrastructure department into a technology wide project group.

This is a highly collaborative and dynamic environment in which you will be willing to share your learning with the team and mentor its graduate member. This is an excellent opportunity to get into the finance industry. Working hours are 9-5.

Salary: GBP40k - GBP50k + 10-20% Bonus + 10% Pension
